New Dining Room and Kitchen

Here are some more pictures of our new dining room and kitchen as I promised… It’s not 100% done, but we are loving how it’s coming along so far! We never had a dining area before so just having a dining table alone is pretty darn exciting!! Oh… there is only one thing about this loft… since it is an open space, we only have windows in one side and so the other side of the loft doesn’t get much sun lights :( So it’s a bit hard to take good photos here… Why is there always “something”?! Oh well…

We’re still looking for the perfect rug underneath the table and the perfect hanging lamps to go with the room…

Lots of bright and cheery colors, I love it :) Makes me happy to be in here!

Spice rack — I want to replace the containers so it looks a bit more clean…

We want to replace the little table, too… but for now, it’s doing its job.

Brooklyn Flea

We went to the Brooklyn Flea in Fort Greene on Saturday morning to pick up our new dining table (oh my god, we love it! Pictures coming soon) and also found lots of awesome stuff! I learned something: go there in the morning and grab it if you really want it! There were tons of great stuff, but while I was eyeing things and making the rounds, some of them were gone. and I was so sad about missing them… :(

Fish Snack Trays

These fish snack trays are so calling me… (via Hindsvik) Randy and I always get snacks here and there, we can use these for our snack time!

Adding it to my wish list…

Why oh why we have so much stuff that is all still in boxes and we still need/want stuff? I don’t understand… I don’t know if I ever would… :)

Sunny Deelight Vintage Plates

How about pretty vintage plates today? These sunny deelight vintage plates from Ameelia Bedelia’s Vintage Deelights are making me happy this morning :) Love the yellow color and the pattern.

I really want to try hanging plates in our new apartment since we’ll have our first dining area ever! I will be watching this tutorial over and over and see if I can make it pretty like that… wish me luck!

Hart’s Coffee Tin

Came across this awesome vintage tin from Hart’s Coffee in 1940. LOVE the big red heart (of course) and the letter H symbol, the color combination as well as the fonts. I could stare at it all day…

I’m going to my letterpress studio again today, printing something very sweet…

Initial Milkglass Bowls

I first learned about this great vintage shop called mushroom and moss vintage at sfgirlbybay, I remember going to her shop as soon as I saw the letter H milkglass bowl… and it was gone.

I was just looking around her shop and saw that the initial milkglass bowls are back! No more letter H, unfortunately, but I had to share this with you all because they are really cute and great! Each letter is different, love the vintage type and simple black lettering on milkglass white — If you see your initial, I would say “grab one! right now!” :)

I Hardy Cards

I want these I Hardy Cards so badly. Looks so beautiful and special. These cards are based on a deck printed circa 1765, printed on heavy paper with woodblocks.
