Found Art: York & Pearl Streets

At the corner of York Street and Pearl Street right underneath the Manhattan Bridge, there is a steel construction fence with lots of cute flowers.

Made me look every time I pass by there, finally took some pictures…

There are silver ones and there are gold ones — aren’t they so cute and lovely?

I love these things that make street more beautiful. Happy Friday!

Stop Pop & Roll

This art around the stop sign was right in front of our building (see the green and brown brick building behind this? That’s where we live!) I noticed right when it was up, I thought it was so awesome, I’d been meaning to take pictures… and I noticed that it’s not there any more the other day… :(

and I found the artist! (via sfgirlbybay guest post by yellowtrace & design for mankind) It’s by Aakash Nihalani. Isn’t this stop sign so great?

His street art installation is so fresh, here are some more photos.

(all images are from Aakash Nihalani’s Flickr photostream)

Check out his website for more great work!

Banksy Was Here

Banksy was here! A block away from our loft! I noticed right away because this wasn’t here before… and it is already ruined. boo. Sucks. See this article and original photos of his work in NYC: Banksy Gets Dissed – Gothamist.

Here are my photos.

Looks like he used his finger…?!

The other ones in NYC looks like they are ruined, but I’d love to see them anyway…
