Today’s Bridge 5.1.11

Happy May! I can hardly believe that it is already May… I’ve been super busy preparing for the National Stationery Show — that’s in 2 weeks! Yesterday, I took a little much-needed break during the day and went to Cherry Blossom Festival. (Photos to come) On the way there, I bumped into a HUGE crowd of Bike New York! Do you see the Front Street is filled with bikes under the Manhattan Bridge? The other side of the street below.

Yesterday was a happy Spring day (a bit windy and cold, but sunny and nice!), I was swamped, but I had to drag myself out and enjoy the Spring even a little bit… I’m glad I did! The cherry blossom trees by the Manhattan Bridge were in bloom and it was so pretty :) Sakura + Bridge. I didn’t think I would be able to see them together!

Happy Monday! xo Hijiri

I think Spring has finally sprung! It’s been really nice and warm, makes me want to stay outside longer. I took a long walk last Saturday just because it was so nice and the Manhattan Bridge looked beautiful :) This was taken from the end of Main Street. Do you see the Empire State Building, too? Oh, and Mister Softee (the ice cream truck) was back!

(and today was 75 degrees! Took a long walk again.)

The Manhattan Bridge from Washington Street. I love this view, never gets old… I walked to Brooklyn Heights and back today, it’s always nice to come home to awesome bridges.
