MoMA Visit 12.16.2010

I stopped by MoMA yesterday — it’s always nice to see something new for my eyes and for my heart :) There are few exhibitions going on, I got to see Andy Warhol: Motion Pictures (member preview — the exhibition starts on December 19th) it was smashing!

On Line: Drawing Through the Twentieth Century — I use “online” as Internet term, but this is very opposite from being “online” and I enjoyed all sorts of art associated with the medium of drawing.

LOVE the huge lettering on the wall. Colors are great on black wall, too.

and this live art performance — he is IN the piano, moving around and playing the piano at the same time. From the other side. The music was really beautiful, too. I enjoyed it very much.

Happy Friday!

LLOVE

LLOVE. The exhibition where you can stay for the night! It’s an exhibition in a hotel in Daikanyama, Tokyo and not only you can look around the exhibition, but also you can stay in it. How awesome! It’s going on until November 23rd, if you happen to visit Tokyo this month or if you live there, please go check it out for me. There are 14 different rooms all designed by different designers and here are some — they look all so amazing!

Printed Matter 8

Stopped by Giant Robot to attend Printed Matter 8 opening reception this weekend — the walls were filled with great arts and prints!

These lovely flowers and birds prints were nicely letterpressed.

This piece was letterpressed also. + Foil stamped.

It’s going on until August 4th so if you are in the neighborhood, check it out!

Speaking of August… I will be going away starting this Thursday until August 11th — going to San Francisco and then, to Japan! Few more days to finish up my projects and get ready… wish me luck ;)

The New Typography at MoMA

Just finally getting around to this great exhibition I saw at MoMA the other day… The New Typography. It’s a small exhibition, but I loved it the most. I wish my office / home is filled with typography posters like this… or I wish they make this exhibition into a book…

Enjoy some photos I took!

Happy Friday, everyone, I hope these will inspire your day!! xo
