Ecofont

Good morning! I hope you all had a nice 4th of July weekend… Happy Birthday, America :)

This morning, I am really inspired by the ecofont (created by SPRANQ): this font has white holes as you see and uses 20% less ink than usual. So your ink cartridges (or toner) could last longer. I might start using this font for my estimates and invoices… what a smart idea! It is totally ledgible, nice sans-serif font, too.

Available from T26 here or ecofont website here. Enjoy and save ink!

Happy Earth Day / Night Owl Paper Goods

It is an Earth Day today and I have a great news from Night Owl Paper Goods – they are having 25% off 1 DAY ONLY sale! Use coupon code “earth” at checkout at their online shop to celebrate Earth Day together! The coupon is only valid for today, April 22nd, 2009. I’m going to get some eco-friendly goodies now… here are some of my picks:

Their new hydrangea series are just so lovely. This hydrangea thank you card is letterpressed on cotton papers.

and this jotter is made with eco-friendly sustainably harvested birch and recycled papers.

I also loooove this feather series. Melts my heart! Their famous wood cards are just so great and this postcard is no exception.

and the letterpressed feather cards. I love that “i love you” part is more like hand-written looking! So cute.

Happy Earth Day, everyone!

Draw Your Own Heart Letterpress Card

I am so proud to announce my new letterpress card at my shop… “Draw Your Own Heart” card!

I’ve had this idea for a while and I’m so happy to see the final product. As you can see, there is a space in between “I” and “YOU” and you can draw your own heart to read “I HEART YOU” or you can fill out the space with anything you’d like to create your own message.

I used cotton papers and recycled envelopes so it is eco-friendly, too. I used vintage wood type blocks so the letters have a nice texture.

Available with red envelope:

and with pink envelope:

You can do “I MISS YOU” by drawing an eye with tears, you can draw a birthday cake and have it read as “I CELEBRATE YOU” or you can draw more than one heart to show how much you love this person etc. you can do a lot with this!

Have fun and be creative!

I Am Not A Paper Cup

I have to add this “I am not a paper cup” onto my wish list… it looks just like the paper cup you get at cafes, but it’s not a paper cup! It is 100% reusable, made with porcelain, it’s microwave-safe – oh how very eco-friendly! Now that I’ve been going into office, I buy coffee outside, and I have been thinking to get my own to-go mug to save money and be green, and this might be a perfect solution.

Good for holiday gifts, too, it’s coming up very soon…

Night Owl Paper Goods

I picked up my first Night Owl Paper Goods wooden card – I love that it’s on wood, has very nice texture, but I wouldn’t love it if it wasn’t eco-friendly! It’s made from eco-friendly sustainably harvested yellow birch.

My card – it’s decorated in my office area.

They have a lot more pretty cards:

and beautiful save the date cards, cute and whimsical ones… click here for all the eco-friendly wooden cards.

They also carry a blank one! I wonder if I can print on this, that would be an original customized wooden card! It says you can write with a pen, pencil or marker… so you can draw your own art for sure.

They have eco-friendly wooden journals and jotters lines and this one is my favorite. The cover is letterpressed, the button is from the sustainably harvested wood, and it’s made out of 100% post-consumer recycld paper. So cute!

They also carry business card size holiday gift cards that are so cute, too!

They have more fun paper goods, too, look around their website from here.

Greenwich Letterpress

The Greenwich Letterpress in the Greenwich Village is a cute letterpress shop. Not only they have some great letterpress cards and stationaries, but also they are environmentally friendly – their products are printed by using 100% wind energy!

Earth Day

It’s Earth Day today. I’ve been seeing lots of eco-goods and going green threads here and there. I think it’s really important to think green nowadays for our planet earth. I recycle and I try being as eco-friendly as possible myself.

Who knew “Americans alone toss out about 300 million tires every year”?! That is a lot! These rubber flower pots and totes made with recycled tires from DWR are awesome – I hope all those tires get recycled like this.

Fish Paper

I thought NYC had everything… but no. NY didn’t have the Paper Source – my favorite store! I always loved going there, they have so much cool stuff, I could spend hours and hours in the store, but now, I just have to shop online.

They added this fish paper that caught my eye. How special!

The fish bag. ohhhh.

Goldfish paper:

OK, these are not fish, but they added some fun papers, too!

Bingo paper:

Graduation photo paper:

They also added this whole new section of “PS Green Choices” and it’s all recycled eco-paper goods and I think it is so great that they are doing more of that. The goldfish paper above is designed with 100% recycled, 30% post-consumer waste paper! Here are some from the Green Choices:

How cool/pretty and you are doing a good thing for the earth at the same time.
