Here Goes Something

We were walking back from Fort Greene park on Saturday and passed by this street mural art — Here Goes Something. I just took a picture of the title part, but this is a very long mural celebrating the rich and vibrant history of the Brooklyn Navy Yard. I guess the mural tells the story of the Navy Yard from right to left. Please read more about it here. I should take more pictures next time, it’s really cool!

Found Type: Text Ads in the Sky

This is from Monday afternoon, but I saw a text advertising up in the sky! I couldn’t read everything because of the building, but said to “join us #…..” — I’ve never seen a type in the sky like this so I was pretty excited :)

Souvenir Score Card

Fenway park

We went to a ballgame at the Fenway Park last night to celebrate Randy’s birthday a little early. I love this stadium, it’s the classic old one and the fact that was Mili’s first baseball game made it even more special!

I found this old Souvenir Score Card while walking around the stadium and I had to take a photo and share. How cool is this typography?! SO good! And it’s from 78 years ago. Such a timeless piece… Made me really happy!

And this made me really happy, too :)

Brooklyn Roasting Company Package

Brooklyn Roasting Company

I mentioned a little bit about Brooklyn Roasting Company on Tuesday — I like not only their coffee, but also their packaging. The picture is their decaf coffee packaging. Isn’t that great?! (and they are not kidding. It’s so good.) It also comes in a tin can, which I like. You bring back the tin can, they refill it with the beans and you get a dollar off, too.

All of their coffee packaging is designed just with simple Helvetica!
