Found Type: The SoHo Building

Spotted this great building sign for the SoHo Building. Each letter is mounted onto a brick building. Immediately caught my eye! So cool!

I even like it from the other side.

If I ever own a building, this is the sign I’m going to do… (note to the future) :)

Found type: AAF

I stopped by the Affordable Art Fair last Friday to see Tomoko real quick. We didn’t have much time so couldn’t see much, but of course, I found some cool work with typography.

Live With Art It’s Good For You poster — this was a huge poster! Oh, how I adore wood types… I want to try the background printing like that, too…

I must admit that I am drawn to paper cut work a lot these days… this was so sweet :) Made my heart warm…

Franklin Ave Poster

Spotted a cool poster for Franklin Avenue, Brooklyn. Lots of cool illustration and hand-lettering typography, I had to take photos…

Hope you had a nice weekend :)

and hello, another week, let’s be productive!

Found Type: DUMBO Arts Festival 2010

I really enjoyed DUMBO Arts Festival last weekend! It was full of creativity and energy all day all night! I took lots of pictures, I will be shearing them in a few posts…

First up is always my favorite; Found Type!

Found spray painted type right by the archway…

Hand-written DUMBO Art Garage sign — nice to see lots of kids enjoying creating :)

Big 2629 numbers — making an awareness about recyclables.

I didn’t find this, (I so wish I did!) but it was so cool I had to share. “Everything is Fine” installation:
