Found Type: Brooklyn Flea

Good morning. How was your weekend? Good, I hope! I started my holiday shopping, pulled out and decorated our Christmas tree (pictures soon)… gosh, I forgot how much I love the holidays! The city is really pretty, it’s worth going outside even though it’s in 30 degrees… aw

I stopped by Kings County General Store (I’ll be showing this Sunday, Dec 12th!) and Brooklyn Flea yesterday and found lots of types besides other things. I lost few images on my iPhone (she’s been acting crazy lately) but here are some that survived and wanted to be shared!

Let’s do this week!!

Eat Drink and Be Merry Felt Coasters

Eat Drink and Be Merry Set of four felt coasters by pepper sprouts are perfect for holiday parties and holiday gifts for the hosts, especially if you are / the host is into typography. The “Eat, Drink, and Be Merry” greeting has been lasercut from this beautiful wool felt. It’s cute to send this as a holiday greeting, too :)

Cheers!!

Found Type: Mermaid Oyster Bar

Great hand-lettering of the Mermaid Inn (Oyster Bar) chalkboard in West Village. Caught my eye. Sounds good, too, right? :)

((It was a night time, sorry for the dark and blurry photos…))

I LOVE their logo from the second I saw it, designed by the amazing Louise Fili. This is the store sign of the Oyster Bar.

and I love their matches, too. I usually take home few to light candles at home :)

and their food? SO GOOD!! There, it completes everything.

Off to printing! See you tomorrow. xo Hijiri

May the force of Typography be with you

Aww these can’t be more perfect for me — Star Wars + Typography! LOVE it!

Each face part is made out of some kind of type and the names of the fonts are on the bottom of the poster. So awesome :) May the force of Typography be with you!!

I’ll be printing all day today, wishing you a happy weekend and I will see you back on Monday! xo Hijiri
