These are taken at 42nd St. station (B, D, F, Q — Orange line). I finally took some pictures. I love the color and the tiling work — they are so beautiful. I would love to make some prints or patterns inspired by these images…

This whole station is covered by this theme, I always enjoy walking around!
Please see more Subway Art collection here.

These awesome mosaic walls are coming from 34th Street station / Penn Station (A, C, E line) — very dramatic!
((so sorry for the blurry pictures, my camera was in different mode and it came out all out of focus a bit… oops.))
Yellow/gold wall with wild animals…

but these bears look like they are a couple and the girl bear is wearing a dress!

The other side of the wall — lots of different scenes… so moody and theatrical…

The crown’s expression and all the details are so great. I could have spent more time just looking at the walls here!

Please look at my other Subway Art collection :)

This Subway Art comes from Boston, MA: Park Street Station — The first subway station in America!

I’m sure this art is a lot newer than 1897, but it was taking over the platform and it was fun to look at for sure while waiting for the train.

oh, and I found Letter C:

Happy Monday, everyone. Hope you had a great weekend… I have been looking for the perfect apartment all week and weekend, still haven’t found it yet… I’m going to keep looking until we find it…
Anyway. Last weekend, on July 4th, I got to go to Coney Island for the first time and from the moment I got off the subway station, I knew I loved it here. The Stillwell Avenue Station was filled with these funky art… on the glass wall.

Such a fun area, I loved it!! Found lots of awesome types there, too…
to be continued.

Happy Birthday to my sweet sister!! Love you. xoxo

There are a few 14th Street Stations in NYC, but this is from the A, C, E line station. I’ve mentioned Tom Otterness’s work before and here are some of his work at the subway stations entitled “Life Underground.”

Isn’t it fun? :)

I heard that MoMA is having an exhibition at Atlantic/Pacific station in Brooklyn, but I never really had a chance to walk around the station until yesterday – it was cool! It was like a whole station take over by MoMA and their collections of art.
The station is covered by black and pink graphic designs. Very simple and bold.

Pollock!

Chagall!

How dynamic is this big pink sticker over the board! It’s for membership information, I even thought I should be a member of MoMA already. The board also includes a map of the station and where you can find certain artists and their piece.

(It is a huge station and the collections are spread out to everywhere.)
It is pretty cool! I wish I use this station everyday. It’s until March 15th, ending soon, though… they should keep it longer!

Spotted at Lorimer St. / Metropolitan Ave–Grand St. (L and G) station in Williamsburg. I like them both! Very simple, but strong and well designed, too!

There is not much art in 72nd Street station (B, C) but I saw this arrow and number and caught my eye.

You can see all my Subway Art photos from here.
I’ll be still collecting photos from Subway stations, though, not every station has art… but it’s fun to keep my eyes open for it!

Delancey Street station (F, J, M, Z) is covered with trees, sky, water, and fishes! I love it.
