Boston Trip

So we ended up coming back last night — it was so fun that we extended our stay!

Maia swam for the first time at our parents’ pool (well, we made her swim – she can do it no problem! She was whining a little, though.):

(She turned 9 months over the weekend, too.)

Randy had a gig at Elements with Niq and we had such a great time. He used to be a resident and they have the same nights for 9 and a half years straight!

Fun times, fun times.

We went to shopping next day in Boston downtown as well as Cambridge, and then, went to Cape Cod — I’ll post about the Cape next.

Plymoth Rock

One more post from the Boston trip…

We also went to see the Plymoth Rock – where Pilgrims first arrived with the Mayflower. The area was so pretty and we had a late lunch there and it was all very nice.

There is a replica of the Mayflower here, too:

Plimoth Plantation :: 1627 English Village

The second part of the museum was a recreation of the English Village in 1627 — you can also meet the Pilgrims (costumed role players!) and we talked to a few, learned new things, and it was all cool experiences.

They talked to each other in role-play, too.

You can walk into any houses and there they are, (playing to be) living:

Randy asks him what he does for living and he says “surviving”

The guy on the right talked to us for 15-20 minutes… and later, we found him on the front page of the Boston newspaper!

Met lots of animals, too, which is always fun.

View from the “meeting place” (church) — it was beautiful with the ocean right there! (click to see larger image)
