Snow snow snow…

There is a lot of snow in NYC right now… these photos are from 2 days ago, but oh boy, was it cold… (yesterday was just too freezing to go outside so stayed in.)

9am picture above and 10:30am picture below. Mili was at her home school so I had to drop her off and pick her up in this snow. It wasn’t fun. haha

But I love the white city. It’s so pretty. Until it gets slushy and gross…

In my neighborhood around 3pm. It didn’t stop snowing until next day. Therefore, lots of snow everywhere… but it’s too cold to go outside and play! (12Fahrenheit / -11Celsius)

American Modern

I got to go to MoMA all by myself the other day (what a treat!) and the first exhibition I saw was this “American Modern Hopper to O’Keeffe.” The typography on the entry wall caught my eye immediately — it’s half 3D!

The exhibition was great, I saw few more but didn’t take any photos as I’m not supposed to take some of the works. I renewed my membership, looking forward to more visits this year…

Brooklyn Botanical Garden

I went to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden yesterday because I knew it was going to be a nice day… I didn’t realize it’d be in 82 degrees, though! It was so hot! (but really nice :)) Just wanted to post some photos from my visit. I could not wait any longer for Spring to come and so seeing flowers blooming was such a treat!

oh. but most of the garden was still like winter. Below is the big cherry blossom area — all the trees were still naked. (NYC street trees are still naked, too.) It was so weird to see the trees like this when it was so hot! I’m sure it’s going to bloom so fast after a day like yesterday. Apparently, today’s going to be another hot day, we are going to the Prospect park for a playdate :) Have a great day, everyone! xo Hijiri
