I got this as a gift from Japan, and immediately caught my eye for the cool packaging. It’s a very old traditional Japanese tea company from Kyoto. (There was a macha chocolate inside!)

Let it swim
Early this month, I took my daughters to see a nihon buyo dance at Japan Society. It was actually my first time seeing the dance! They explained the moves, the band and the instruments at the beginning, that was really cool, too.
It was such a great experience!
We went to the Brooklyn Japanese New Year festival this week and saw a live calligraphy performance by Taisan Tanaka. I took a video of his awesome performance, but for some reasons, I couldn’t upload the video here… so it’s just some screenshots, but hopefully you get to see the dynamic performance.
