Happy 4th of July!

Wishing everyone a happy 4th of July! It’s my first Independence day in NYC and wanted to go to Coney Island to see a Hot Dog Easting Contest, but watched it live at home instead – it was a close game! Maybe next year… with Maia! She’d be the perfect dog for the occasion. hehe

Renegade Craft Fair

Last Saturday, I went to see Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn at McCarren Park Pool. There are so many vendors and oh my god, it was so hot and humid! I wanted to take my time and see them all, but I was covered by sweat and I was really uncomfortable to look everything as much as I wanted to… but I made some good purchase here and there. Very inspiring to see all the crafty talented people, too, as always!

Sakura Festival at Brooklyn Botanic Garden

It was a beautiful day yesterday and we got to stop by Brooklyn Botanic Garden for the Sakura Festival – all the cherry blossom trees were in full bloom and oh my god, it was so pretty!! It has been so long for me to see that much cherry blossom and I was blown away. I love spring here as I keep saying everyday!

Entrance area – it was packed!

Brooklyn Flea

My calender was marked for this day since I met Grace from Design *Sponge in January. The first Brooklyn Flea! It was so packed, too, even though it was cold out (It was like San Francisco cold.) It’s happening every Sundays now and made me happy that I could come here every week if I wanted to. It’s in Forte Green, Brooklyn, a few stations away from where I live. They had from antique stores to hand-made crafty goods to soap, foods, arts, prints, vintage clothes, fabrics…. everything!

Shopping with Maia poking her head out of my bag always gets lots of attentions – this day was the best/worst. It’s great that everyone loves her and she puts everyone a big smile, but it is hard when she gets attentions every 5 seconds! I couldn’t shop much… but oh well. I can come back next week!
