Wishing you all a Happy Halloween!!! Maia is a cute witch this year — kept a classic Halloween costume since last year. (Yes, it is the same black vest I crocheted, I added some lace skirt!)

I always have so much fun designing anything for LAMA since the day one. Their newsletter is one of my fun work I get to do and this month, it is Halloween themed… but very elegant and cool, fun, and edgy LAMA way!
They are introducing a new line of gorgeous jewelry, I was in love with them right away, and I thought instead of making the newsletter looking more spooky or Halloween-like, I just turned the llama pattern (usually in blue) and everything black — let the picture talk itself.
I love how it came out :) Maybe you can see the LAMA blog for some discount code…

Halloween is tomorrow! aww I am so not ready… it’s been crazy busy… but I will pull out something and have fun for sure!

Every time I watch these commercials on TV, I just can’t help myself going “ohhhhhhhhhhhhh” (and then, “what? A lottery commercial?!” — being in an advertising industry for a while, that is a good thing)
Have a sweet morning and a sweet day, everyone!

I was inspired by the die cut calendars I posted this morning and I found this beautiful porcelain candle holders from Wapa Studio and had an instant gratification. I am collecting white porcelains along with many other things I collect, and so these are really calling me…
Very lovely…

These 2010 die cut calendars by A Little Hut are so cute, I had to share. Simple die cut shape and the each spot of color… 2010 will be a great year with this…

Lindsay from Lindsay Wilson Photography wanted a custom print that means a lot to her and her husband for their paper anniversary as a part of her gifts to him. ((I printed a special print for our second anniversary as a “cotton” gift — because I always work with cotton paper — it can go either way!!)) I always get so happy and honored to be able to create a special print that means so much to someone. This print was no exception. I had so much fun printing and I was so happy to print this for them!
Adjusting placement and impression with my printout — always helps…

I love the blind printed impression, so pretty always.

So turned out that I didn’t have enough letter “E” so decided to print without the first word… Typesetting, inking and…

printing the three words first.

Now, typeset the word “HERE” to where it’s supposed to, take out the words that were printed and lock them with furniture.

Print on top of the first print…

and here is the final print!

Congratulation, Lindsay and her husband, for their 1st year anniversary!! I was so honored to create this, thank you so much!

Hello! I am back from my trip to Washington D.C. — it was such a fun trip, it was so fun that it is so very hard today to even get up… but I do have a lot to do and so when I saw this new poster from Ork Poster “The Brain,” I immediately got drawn to it — I need the brain right now!
I’ve been a fan of Ork Poster, I have 3 of their city neighborhood posters, their typography design with the city and now with the anatomy series is always so great.

The Brain posters available here.

I was in mid-town yesterday and passed by this window display with gorgeous dress… made out of paper! It was stunning. I had to take pictures. It’s always so amazing to see what papers can do and what artists can do…

I am off to Washington D.C. today for a wedding (I had that in my mind when I took this pictures, too), I will be back on late Monday, I will see you guys all then! Have a great weekend, everyone! xoxo

I came across these cute Halloween ghosts block printed notecards at DaWanda — it actually made me think of pacman and made me smile! :) They are hand-block printed with hand curved stamps, I love that.
Yes, Halloween is soon approaching… do you have any fun plans? It’s so funny, it always gets so busy around this time, I haven’t even thought about anything yet… Let me know if you do!

These awesome mosaic walls are coming from 34th Street station / Penn Station (A, C, E line) — very dramatic!
((so sorry for the blurry pictures, my camera was in different mode and it came out all out of focus a bit… oops.))
Yellow/gold wall with wild animals…

but these bears look like they are a couple and the girl bear is wearing a dress!

The other side of the wall — lots of different scenes… so moody and theatrical…

The crown’s expression and all the details are so great. I could have spent more time just looking at the walls here!

Please look at my other Subway Art collection :)
