Elvis Swift

I have been a fan of Elvis Swift, I love his work, the lines he draws have its own voice and rhythm.

When I used to work at the agency, we were getting so many mailers from artists and photographers and his mailer was definitely one of my favorites and I still keep it for my inspirations.

Autumn Upholstery Event Card

I stopped by Anthrolologie yesterday and saw this card – very nice!

I like the loong “O” and the overall layout and of course the texture on the letters. Colors are very autumn, too.

ESPN Monday Night Football Outdoor Ad

I saw this ad when I was walking around in SOHO – it is made with the football-field-like material and spray painted on top. They have the “Is it Monday yet?” campaign for a while now and it’s always fun to look at. I like this one!

LAMA Blog

I redesigned a blog for LAMA by using word press template and customized it for LAMA. I think it looks clean and simple, consistent with the store site so I’m happy how it came out. Christine is going to be posting a lot of cool stuff and it is already bookmarked for my daily read!

I’m doing a few more blog designs now and I am forced to learn PHP and CSS… it is interesting how everything works and I want to be fluent… someday…

Charlie Parker Jazz Festival

Last weekend was the 15th annual Charlie Parker Jazz Festival and I got to go to Sunday one at Tompkins Square Park in the East Village. Charlie Parker is one of my favorite jazz musicians so I really wanted to go to honor his music – so did everyone in the park!

There was this artist in the park – he draws jazz! Pretty cool.

Prospect Park

Saturday was our big park day! I love the fact that Prospect Park is a few blocks away from our apartment and we’ve heard that before 9am and after 9pm, you can have your dogs off-leash in certain areas and so many dogs come and play on the weekends – that was Maia’s debut! I must admit that Maia is our big motivations because we never woke up early and go to park before or never even went to park to do activities before!

In the morning. It was so beautiful out! (Click to see a larger image)

We saw Hime – 8 years old dachshund in our neighborhood and she looks like Maia!

Hime and her Mom and Maia (she is jumping on her):

Here we go – so many dogs running around and playing!

This is Long Meadow. There is a dog beach here, too.

And then…. at night, we met up with our friends with their dog at Nethermead. We never been this area so it was cool to explore more in the park.

I like the path:

Wait for me-

Here we are – it was getting so dark that I couldn’t take more pictures from here on, but we had a great time! Maia had the best time ever!

Polaroid PoGo

I take lots of pictures with my phone and my digital camera, but I never really print them nowadays unless I want to frame it or something… and so when I found out about the Polaroid PoGo… the instant mobile printer, I immediately got so interested in getting it!

I want to test it and see if I like the prints first, though, this might be so cool to have!
