Candy Cushions

I’ve been looking at this Candy Script cushions from Veer. Not that I need another cushions at home, but they are just fun and cool. Maybe for my home office…$40 for set of two! It says it’s handmade, which sounds better as always.

The Supply Shoppe

Another store from Etsy… the Supply Shoppe. They have the cutest beads – I never really got into beading, but makes me want to make something!

Sweet Flavor

I bought another cute fabric from this etsy store called Sweet Flavor. I still haven’t used the fabric I bought last time, and I’m not sure what to do with this one yet, but I just like to have it and use my imagination… (hehe)

Cool Apple Store

The Fifth Avenue Apple Store is the coolest! You see a huge glass cubic and the Apple mark is floating in the middle and you go downstairs to the stores. They have a gallery for more pictures, oh, and it’s not just the coolest, it’s the busiest Apple store, it seemed like!

Dachshund Parade

I heard that there is a Dachshund Parade twice a year in Washington Square in NYC, one in April and one in October, from this dachshund lover when I was out with Maia. One just happened this weekend and we were so there with Maia. I guess we didn’t get there early so by that time we got there, lots of them went home or something, but there were still many dachshunds in the park! It was so funny. Maia had a blast, of course, and we had fun, too! We were inspired by a couple of dachshunds in Hays Valley where we used to live and that’s why we got one, but we had no idea how many of them are in NYC and how much people love them. Enjoy the pictures!

ABC Button

By using these 9-hole buttons, you can create/sew alphabets! The website offers free Button type, too.

Their gallery page is not working when you click to see larger images, but such a cute idea!

Stone Street

I kept saying, but it has been so so nice here in NYC. Everyday is unbelievable. In San Francisco, I built the habit to carry around a jacket everyday for the last 10 and a half years… so of course I still carry around a jacket just in case, but I haven’t been wearing it at all. Not even night time! One layer of clothes. That’s it. and feels soo great outside! (I think SF people know why I’m so excited about this) Street gets busier and busier everyday, too. So many restaurants and bars open up in outside and people are eating and drinking outside so much. So lively.

Anyway. Tonight was especially nice and so Randy and I tried to have a bite on Stone Street (this cute street in downtown Manhattan) after work… and ohh my god, the street was packed!!! All the downtown working people come there after work, I guess… but wow.

You And Me Time Zone Clock

I always have 2 clocks in my mind – NY time and Japanese time.

This clock from Chiasso will make it easy to see what time it is for both at the same time… or is it?

The FontFeed

I came across this blog from Font Shop called “The FontFeed” – you’ll find typography tips, recommended fonts, and typographic designs.

Good place to get some design inspirations.

You can browse fonts and buy them, too:

PANTONE Books

I got my own PANTONE Books yesterday! It was always around in my old agency and so when I needed it, I could just look through and grab chips, but now that I am on my own, I needed this so badly and finally got them – I feel like I am a real freelance designer! This is so exciting. There are soo many colors, though, it’s incredible. They add new colors every year, too.
