I went to MoMA again on Friday. I had to pick up my ATM card I left last week (oops) at Anthropologie near by so I might as well stopped by and see the other exhibitions I couldn’t get to see last week. I only could see the third floor this time, but it was a gooood third floor!
One of the exhibitions I loved was “50 Years of Helvetica” – the most ubiquitous of all typefaces and sure enough, I’ve used it countless times and I’ve seen it around numerous times. It’s the first typeface that got displayed in MoMA, too, and although the exhibition was pretty small, I was so pleased that I got to see it. There was a film playing and it was a moving collage of Helvetica from ordinary scenes and that was really good.
